Design of visual content, information, and web distributed software is the core product offered by Nomad Media. We draw upon over 20 years of experience in visual art and communication, and utilize the medium best suited to the design requirement. From traditional print mediums, to digital formats, web, animation, video or audio, we carefully develop each concept by listening to the needs of the client, understanding the goals involved and responding with both consistency and innovation.
Our design is inspired by nature, organic growth of ideas and content, and utilizes any of the spectrum of tools and delivery platforms.

We perceive compelling sights: landscapes, human forms, photography, motion picture, animation, print media, to be divine, and give the visual media we produce every ounce of that inspiration.
Combining backgrounds in fine art, life drawing, painting, architectural rendering, and technical drawing, with extensive experience using computer tools for illustration, photo manipulation, and 3D modelling/rendering, we feel that possiblities are limitless, and work hard to create a presentation that is fine tuned to our client's needs.

Physics has kind of taken on a new meaning in our design studio. In comparing patterns in physics and nature, we are challenged by trying to programmatically imitate a pattern and lend that to an interface or interactive design.

These effects can highlight interactivity and can provide a compelling feeling to a presentation and the visitor experience of a web site or application.

To communicate a concept, describe an organization or product, and adequately inform an audience requires information presented in an accessible way. With the advent of web and other digital formats, however, an opportunity exists for user interaction; which is really closer to the way we naturally learn about something, and kind of a new realm of communication. This becomes increasingly important when dealing with large volumes of information, and information which is always changing.
We have created a huge variety of production web sites with the underlying goal of letting a visitor explore and meanwhile inform themselves. Interactivity and information design is another core product Nomad Media offers, and our approach is ever developing.
We like systems which are fun, and interesting for the visitor, with some structure but not too much. We spread information across logical hierarchies, and employ interactivity to highlight the structure, and allow methodical access to its levels and helping to minimize complexities.
At the same time, freshness is most interesting, and we are constantly innovating new solutions to make a presentation easy to update, and allow organic growth for the organization which presents it.

At a general level, an application collects, processes and distributes information. More specifically, an application may be designed to automate business or organizational procedures, allow greater transparency between organizational data end users, reduce operational costs and errors.
Nomad Media designs application systems for various platforms such as web or desktop, and varying levels of scalability, from multi-tiered enterprise systems to simple forms to collect, process, and store information.
We have experience with a wide variety of programming languages: relational databases, and other data stores and weigh many factors to determine the platform on which to build the software. We believe that by putting in the necessary time up front to understand the business domain, uncover all potential use cases, and design the system in an object oriented way, the application can be easy to maintain, accomodate long-term growth and achieve a strong ROI.

Though originally our core product offering was design oriented, we quickly realized that great web design depends on consistent delivery.
We have spent the past 10 years working with web servers in order to able to deliver rock solid web hosting. This includes a wide spectrum of services, including email, ftp, programming platforms, database, ecommerce, multimedia, streaming audio and video and more.

Static content is easy to maintain, however for dynamic content such as inventory, listings, forums, calendar oriented content, contact management, user profiles and account or order information a database is required for effective and secure data storage and retrieval.
